Reds & Pink rule this house! The client here wanted a very modern look for their new home & and red & pink were their favorites when it came to colour. You can see the public & semi public spaces doused in shades of red & pink. For those who feel that these are very bright colours, it a very good example how we can experiment with bright colours in the modern style of design that brings richness to the spaces.
The Living area is an energetic space with a reddish pink backdrop and grey upholstered sofa seating with an accent chair in a bright printed fabric. The partition is an element that is also like a display unit creating a visual separation between the Dining & Living. The Tv unit is Black & White! The contrasting colours compliment each other to make a statement. The Dining table with red upholstered chairs is accented by 2 chairs in a printed fabric that looks stunning. The crockery unit is like an extension to the design language of the furniture. Kitchen in Pink & Red appears very refreshing & neat.
The Master bedroom breaks the use of pink legacy and is a welcome retreat in blue, ochre & white. The sliding wardrobes in black & white balance out the blues & ochre. The jaali acts as a backdrop to the bed with indirect lighting. The layout of the room accommodates all the requirements of a bedroom without looking cluttered.
The Children bedroom is our favourite with burst of pink shades. The entire wall from the room entrance till the wardrobe has been treated as a mural wall with abstract pattern. The study table and dressing unit have been designed as a combined unit in the same language. The wardrobes are full length and hence the browns have been very restrictedly used to prevent them from dominating the space. The wall behind the bed displays a collage of the daughter’s pictures which gives a personal touch to the room.
